Summoner

Curses, poison and the three debuffs that change a whole fight: the class that weakens the enemy instead of just hitting it.

Updated on August 10, 2026

The Summoner is a magic class that attacks through two channels: Wizardry, ordinary magic damage, and Curse, which is exclusive to her. Both come out of the same formula, energy divided by 9 up to energy divided by 4, so one build pays for both. What sets her apart from the other magic classes are the debuffs: Weakness, Innovation and Sleep exist nowhere else in the game.

  • 5points per level
  • ENE/9 to ENE/4magic and curse damage
  • AGI/3defense from agility
  • 3exclusive debuffs

How she plays in practice

She is born with Lance and levels early with the skills inherited from the wizard (Fire Ball, Power Wave, Meteorite and Ice). Her game changes when the books come in: Book of Sahamutt, Book of Neil and Book of Lagle are weapons that lend a curse skill while equipped, and each one covers a different area.

From the midgame on, the Summoner is worth more for what she takes away from the enemy than for the damage she deals. Innovation knocks down the defense of up to five targets at once, Weakness knocks down their damage, and Sleep simply switches a target off. In a party that pays more than any extra damage she could add.

The three book skills are the heart of the class in the midgame, and they have a quirk: since they come from the weapon, you switch skills by switching books, without spending a single orb.

Here is what nobody else in the game does. All of them scale with the Summoner's energy at the moment of the cast.

Blind is a master skill tree node, not a parchment. The first five come from parchments bought at the Skill Master, and Darkness is the third class base skill, handed out on the evolution quest.

In the master skill tree

The Dimension Master tree has 65 nodes, the smallest among the classes with five generations. The nodes that pay the most are the Darkness ones, which raise curse damage, and the ones for the three book skills. Blind is the only new active skill the tree hands out.

Strengths and weaknesses

In favor
  • Three exclusive debuffs that no other class has: Weakness, Innovation and Sleep.
  • One stat pays for everything: magic damage, curse damage, mana and the strength of every debuff.
  • Defense from agility of 1/3, the best among the magic classes.
  • The book skills swap themselves when you swap weapons, without spending an orb.
  • Damage Reflection sends up to 60% of incoming damage back for an ally.
Against
  • No shield, in any generation.
  • The smallest armor catalog in the game: 10 pieces per slot at third class.
  • The good debuffs ask for very high energy: Innovation requires 912 and Weakness 663.
  • Skill damage multiplier of 1, half what the physical classes get.
  • 5 points per level until you do Gain Hero Status.
