Tree points
One master level gives one point to one tree only. The 400 per tree rule, the total 1200 ceiling and why an invested point is never lost.
Updated on August 10, 2026There are two skill trees in the game and a separate point pool for each one. The most common mix up is thinking that a master level fills both at the same time. It does not: each master level gives one point, to one tree only, depending on the range it falls into.
- 400points in the 3rd class tree
- 400points in the 4th class tree
- 800points in the whole game
- 0tree resets
The law, in three lines
- Master 1 to 400Fills the Master Skill Tree
Total level 401 to 800. Each master level gives 1 point to the third class tree, which closes at exactly 400 points.
- Master 401 to 800Fills the Enhance Skill Tree
Total level 801 to 1200. Each master level gives 1 point to the fourth class tree, which also closes at 400 points. Only fourth and fifth classes receive them.
- Master 801 to 1100Neither tree grows
Total level 1201 to 1500. You keep earning master level, total level and the requirement for top tier equipment, but no tree points at all.
| Master level range | Total level | 3rd tree points | 4th tree points |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 400 | 0 | 0 |
| 1 to 400 | 401 to 800 | 1 per master level, up to 400 | 0 |
| 401 to 800 | 801 to 1200 | already at 400 | 1 per master level, up to 400 |
| 801 to 1100 | 1201 to 1500 | already at 400 | already at 400 |
The consequence: the fourth class stopped being optional
The points for the second tree are only granted to fourth or fifth class characters. Anyone who reaches total level 800, fills the first tree and decides not to take Cent's trial stops earning tree points right there, forever, no matter how much master level they pile up afterwards.
- You get the retroactive points all at once: your master level minus 400, capped at 400.
- You keep earning 1 point per master level up to 800.
- You end up with 800 tree points in total.
- The first tree fills up at 400 and stops.
- The second tree never receives a single point.
- You end up with 400 tree points, half of what the game offers.
An invested point is never lost
This is an explicit server rule, and it has two parts. The first is that there is no tree reset on Zaikan, paid or free. The second is that there is a check that runs every time you enter the world.
- 1You log into the game
The server works out how many points you should have, based on your master level.
- 2It compares with what you have
Points in the pool plus points already invested in nodes.
- 3It hands back the difference
If something is missing, what was missing goes back to the pool. If there is extra, it stays as is.
Since each point spent on a node is exactly one level of it, working out what is invested is simple: it is the sum of the levels of every node you learned, across both trees. That holds equally for both.
Questions that always come up
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Can I reset the tree if I misclick? | No. There is no tree reset, and it is a server rule that there never will be. |
| Do I lose points if I die? | No. Dying costs experience, and at level 400 it costs master experience, but it never takes a point you already earned. |
| Do I lose points if I drop a master level? | No. The login check hands back whatever is missing and never reduces what you have. |
| Is there a character reset on Zaikan? | There is none. The site ranking goes by total level, and there is no reset system. |
| Can I redistribute my stat points? | That is a different system, the stat reset, which has nothing to do with the trees. |
| Do the points of the two trees mix? | Never. They are two separate pools and one cannot be spent on the other. |
