Wings
From the first to the fifth generation: defense, damage increase, absorption, requirement and how to make each one in the Chaos Machine.
Updated on August 10, 2026The wing is the most important item in the game after level. It gives defense, it increases the damage of everything you do, it absorbs part of the damage you take, it makes the character faster and it is what lets you enter Icarus. There are six generations on the server, and the jump between the third and the fourth is the biggest in the whole equipment progression.
- 36wings and capes
- 15maximum refining level
- 73%fifth generation +15 absorption
- 2737fifth generation +15 defense
What every wing does
- It lets you fly, which is the entry requirement for Icarus and for several movement mechanics.
- Damage increase: a percentage added to the final damage, which grows with refining.
- Damage absorption: a percentage taken off the hit you receive. It grows 2 percentage points per item level on every wing in the game, no exceptions.
- Defense, which adds straight into your base defense.
- Movement speed, normally 15, and 16 on the Dark Knight wings.
- They all take Luck and they can all go up to +15.
The six generations
- 1First generation
Four wings, 12% damage and 12% absorption. They take no wing option.
- 2Hybrid capes
Cape of Lord and Cape of Fighter. They grow like the first generation, but they start higher.
- 3Second generation
Five wings, 32% damage and 25% absorption.
- 4Generation 2.5
Four wings shared by several classes.
- 5Third generation
One per third rank class, 39% damage and 39% absorption.
- 6Fourth generation
140 base defense and attack power of its own.
- 7Fifth generation
900 base defense and the biggest damage bonus in the game.

Fourth and fifth generation
These two change category. On top of defense and the percentages, they add attack power, a raw damage bonus that goes into both physical and magic damage. The numbers below are confirmed on both sides, server and client: the tooltip shows exactly what the server applies.
| Wing | Class | Defense +0 | Attack power +0 | Damage increase | Absorption |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wings of Elysium | Dark Wizard | 140 | +100 | 55% to 70% | 43% to 73% |

| Cloak of Oath | Rage Fighter | 900 | +300 | 55% to 70% | 43% to 73% |
The defense and the attack power of these two generations grow in an accelerated way with refining, not a linear one. From +11 on each level is worth much more than the previous one.

The wing options
There are two option systems living on the same wing, and they do not mix.
- One option per wing, with a 25% chance of existing in the drop or in the craft.
- Defense: +4 per level.
- Physical, magic or curse damage: +4 per level.
- Health recovery: +1% per level.
- Each wing takes a different subset: the first generation takes only one, the second takes two, the third on takes three.
- Also one per wing, with a 10% chance.
- Second generation, capes and 2.5: maximum health +50, maximum mana +50 or 3% ignore defense.
- The Cape of Lord has an exclusive fourth possibility: +10 command, plus 5 per level.
- Third, fourth and fifth generation: 5% ignore defense, 5% to reflect the whole hit, 5% to recover all health or 5% to recover all mana when hit.
The wing option travels in the same field of the packet as the excellent options. That is why it counts on the rarity ladder exactly like an excellent counts: a wing with one option is green, with two it is blue, and so on, from the first to the fifth generation, with no special case.
How each wing is made
Every wing comes out of the Chaos Goblin. None of them drops from monsters. The recipes chain: you need the wing of the previous generation to make the next one.
- 1Chaos weapon
A refined chaos weapon becomes the first generation wing.
- 2First generation
Plus a Loch's Feather and a Jewel of Chaos: second generation.
- 3Second generation
Two paths: 2.5 directly, or the Feather of Condor from the first step of the third.
- 4Third generation
The Feather of Condor plus an excellent item become the third generation wing.
- 5Fourth generation
A third generation wing at +11 or more, a Feather of Condor and twenty jewels.
- 6Fifth generation
A fourth generation wing at +11 or more, both feathers and twenty jewels.
| Recipe | What goes in | Zen | Success rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| First generation | 1 chaos weapon from +4 to +15 with an option, 1 Jewel of Chaos, and as many Bless and Soul as you want to add | by the rate reached | it goes up according to the value of what you put in |
| Second generation | 1 first generation wing, 1 Jewel of Chaos, 1 Loch's Feather, optionally 1 excellent item from +4 to +15 | 5,000,000 | up to 90% |
| Cape of Lord or Cape of Fighter | same as the second generation, but with the Loch's Feather at level 1 (Crest of Monarch) | 5,000,000 | up to 90% |
| Third generation, step 1 | 1 second generation wing from +9 to +15 with an option, 1 ancient item from +7 to +15 with bonus and option, 1 Chaos, 1 Creation, 10 Soul | according to the rate | up to 60%, it results in a Feather of Condor |
| Third generation, step 2 | 1 excellent item from +9 to +15, 1 Chaos, 1 Creation, 10 Soul, 10 Bless, 1 Feather of Condor, 1 Flame of Condor | according to the rate | up to 40% |

| Fourth generation | 1 third generation wing from +11 to +15 with an option, 1 Feather of Condor, 1 Chaos, 10 Bless, 10 Soul | 20,000,000 | 40% |
| Fifth generation | 1 fourth generation wing from +11 to +15, 1 Feather of Condor, 1 Flame of Condor, 1 Chaos, 10 Bless, 10 Soul | 30,000,000 | 30% |
The three top recipes were once worth 1% because of a configuration mistake, which in practice stopped anyone from making a 2.5, fourth or fifth generation wing. Today they run at the rate the client always showed, 60%, 40% and 30%, and the zen follows: it is 12, 20 and 30 million per attempt. It is expensive on purpose, and it is the official price of a wing.
Counting the failures, the expected zen per finished wing is 20 million on the 2.5, 50 million on the fourth and 100 million on the fifth, and every failed attempt takes the material with it. Gather the zen before you start: stopping halfway through the chain means making the base wing all over again.
