Tarkan

The desert from level 130 up, and the first place on the server where jewels and excellent items really drop.

Updated on August 10, 2026

Tarkan is map 8, the desert that comes after Atlans. It is the map that changes your character's economy: up to here you were picking up zen and common gear, and from here on Jewel of Bless, Jewel of Soul and excellent items start dropping. The usable range is level 130 to 200, with monsters going from 72 to 93.

  • 76level of the 1st monster that drops jewels
  • 72 to 93monster level
  • 7species
  • 36spots on the minimap

Who lives here

Seven species. Five of them are the real farm, and two are rare targets that spawn alone and are worth it on their own. The numbers are the design values from the server; in the closed test the monsters are temporarily weaker.

Death Beam Knight9340,000590 to 6504205

Zaikan is the monster this server is named after. He and the Death Beam Knight are the two rare targets of the desert: five of each on the whole map, and the health gap to the rest is big enough to require a character that is already built.

What drops here

Tarkan is the watershed of the drop system. The server's jewel group and excellent group require a monster of level 76 or higher, and the Bloody Wolf is exactly 76. In other words: jewels start dropping at the Bloody Wolf, and from there up the whole map drops them.

WhatChanceRequired monster levelWhere that applies in Tarkan
Jewel (Bless, Soul, Chaos, Life, Creation)0.1%76 or highereverything except the Mutant
Random excellent item0.01%76 or highereverything except the Mutant

Silver Medal0.5%20 to 75only the Mutant

In practice, what comes out of Tarkan is Bless, Soul and Chaos, which are exactly the three you need to refine your first decent set and to start working the Chaos Machine. That is why Tarkan is the map that changes the game, and not just another level step.

Is it worth it?

It is, and it is practically mandatory. There is no other road from Atlans to Kanturu, and there is no more accessible source of jewels for a character between level 130 and 200. Tarkan has 32 regular spots and 4 hot spots marked on the minimap.

Where to stay
  • Level 130 to 160: Mutant and Bloody Wolf, in the entrance region.
  • Level 160 to 190: Tantallos and Beam Knight, which together are 99 monsters on the map and the highest density here.
  • Level 190 up: Iron Wheel and hunting the rares, or move on to Aida and Kanturu.
What to avoid
  • Staying on the Mutant past level 150: it is the only monster on the map that does not drop jewels.
  • Trying the Zaikan or the Death Beam Knight without a full set: they hit almost double the rest.
  • Selling the Jewel of Chaos that drops here: it is an ingredient in almost every Chaos Machine recipe.
