Icarus
The map in the clouds, only for those with wings, and the game's only source of Loch's Feather and Crest of Monarch.
Updated on August 10, 2026Icarus is map 10, hanging in the sky above the Lost Tower. It has a rule no other map has: without wings you do not get in. The server checks the flight attribute at the moment you cross the portal, and without it the portal simply does not work. The usable range is level 170 to 250, with monsters from 75 to 108.

How to get there
| Route | Where | Level | Cost | Arrives at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ground portal | Lost Tower (17,250) | 160 | free | Icarus (14,13) |
| Move "Icarus" | anywhere | 170 | 10,000 zen | Icarus (14,13) |
The exit is at (14,12), in the same corner as the entrance, and sends you back to the Lost Tower (17,249). Anyone who dies in Icarus respawns in the Lost Tower, not in Icarus.
Who lives here
Eight species, and the ladder is the steepest in the classic game: from the Alquamos, with 11,500 health, to the Dark Phoenix, with 95,000. The numbers are the design values from the server; in the closed test the monsters are temporarily weaker.
| Monster | Level | Health | Damage | Defense | How many |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alquamos | 75 | 11,500 | 255 to 290 | 195 | 25 |
| Mega Crust | 78 | 15,000 | 270 to 320 | 210 | 25 |
| Queen Rainer | 82 | 19,000 | 305 to 350 | 230 | 15 |
| Drakan | 86 | 29,000 | 425 to 480 | 305 | 15 |
| Alpha Crust | 92 | 34,500 | 489 to 540 | 360 | 15 |
| Phantom Knight | 96 | 41,000 | 560 to 610 | 425 | 30 |
| Great Drakan | 100 | 50,000 | 650 to 700 | 495 | 37 |
| Dark Phoenix | 108 | 95,000 | 950 to 1,000 | 600 | 5 |
The Dark Phoenix is the strongest monster on the map and one of the best known names in MU: 95,000 health, almost a thousand damage per hit, and only five on the whole map. It is not an event boss, it is a normal spawn, so whoever gets there first takes it.
What drops here
Icarus is one of the five maps on the server with an exclusive drop. Everything else in the game comes from the global groups; here there are two extra lines, and they are the real reason to come.
| Item | Chance | Monster level | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loch's Feather | 0.1% | 82 or higher | material for second generation wings |
| Crest of Monarch | 0.1% | 82 or higher | material for second generation wings |
Beyond that, the normal groups apply: jewels at 0.1% and excellent at 0.01% (every monster here is past level 76), zen on half the kills, a random item on 30% and the Gold Medal at 0.2% from monsters up to level 110, meaning everything except the Dark Phoenix.
Is it worth it?
It depends on what you want. To level up, Icarus is good but not unique: Aida and Kanturu cover the same range with fewer demands. To make wings, Icarus has no substitute, because no other map drops Loch's Feather.
- The game's only source of Loch's Feather and Crest of Monarch.
- Open map, no walls: auto move never gets lost.
- Every monster is past 76, so everything here drops jewels and excellent.
- The Dark Phoenix spawns on its own, with no event and no schedule.
- Without wings you do not get in, and wings are exactly what you come here for.
- An open map also means the monsters come from far away and in groups.
- Only 1 hot spot marked on the minimap, against 4 on most maps in the range.
- Dying sends you back to the Lost Tower, not to the entrance.
