Acheron

Map 91, the gateway to the Season 20 region that leads to Debenter, Urk Mountain and Nars, with five elemental mini-bosses.

Updated on August 10, 2026

Acheron is map 91 and it works as the hub of the new region: the three portals that lead to Debenter, Urk Mountain and Nars all run out of it. On its own it is a map with a small population, with 64 common monsters and ten mini-bosses, but this is how you get into everything Webzen built after Kanturu and before Ferea.

The monster range runs from level 88 to 113, but that is misleading: these are creatures with 29,000 to 38,000 health and damage between 400 and 600, which makes them far tougher than any classic monster of the same level. The entry requirement is level 380, and here it is normal level, not total level.

There is no ground portal from another map into Acheron. The only entrance is the Move window, and that is what charges the 18,000 zen. Once you are inside, the three neighboring maps are free, ask for level 300 and send you back to Acheron the same way.

Inside the map there are also four internal teleports, all asking for level 300, which link the corners: (26,168) leads to (112,161), (115,168) leads to (33,167), (82,204) leads to (151,198) and (147,202) leads to (81,197). Baz The Vault Keeper stands in the arrival safe zone, so you can empty your inventory without leaving the region.

Who lives in Acheron

The map has two separate populations: the six field monsters, which are the ones you kill in series, and the five elemental mini-bosses, which spawn at fixed points, two of each, and come back every hour.

Notice what the table shows: the five elementals have less health than the common monsters and hit harder. They are not tanks, they are attackers. What makes them annoying is the elemental resistance.

Resistance to their own element, from the original Season 20 file.

In practice this means a purely elemental damage build will run into one of them that barely feels the attack. Since there are two of each and the respawn is one hour, it is not worth insisting: kill the ones your build handles and move on.

Is it worth it?

Acheron is a map you pass through, not one you farm. With 74 monsters in total against Ferea's 362 or Nixie's Lake's 335, staying here to kill things is inefficient: you walk more than you fight. The reason to know Acheron is what sits behind its portals.

Use Acheron to
  • Reach Debenter, which is the region's real farming map, with 115 monsters.
  • Reach Urk Mountain, where Lord Silvester is.
  • Reach Nars, where Core Magriffy is.
  • Store items in the vault without going back to town.
Do not count on
  • Monster density: it is 64 common ones spread across an entire map.
  • A drop of its own: the region has no exclusive table, it inherits only the server's standard groups.
  • Killing all five elementals on the same day: one hour of respawn each.
